A wide variety of local crafts, collectibles, and souvenir items are available from vendors set-up on the dock at the cruise terminal. The dockside vendors offer prices in both American & Canadian funds and adhere to a fair rate of exchange.

While shopping in the city visitors are reminded that, except in a few cases, most businesses in the city will not have American funds in their cash registers and, consequently, change will be given in Canadian funds. However, credit cards are widely accepted and offer the best rate of exchange for the day with the utmost convenience to passengers.

Also for the convenience of visitors, major Canadian banks are located throughout the Uptown area and, with the exception of coinage, money may easily be exchanged to American funds. Check with merchants or the Saint John Visitor Information Centre at Market Square for bank locations and hours of operation.
